
Last year I wrote about how "I'm Gonna Get Me a Pen Pal" well it didn't work... because I suck and never follow through with most things I start.
But this time it will!
I actually went and set up a P.O. Box at the post office yesterday (not that I imagine people actually coming to my house if I use my home address, but you never know) and I'm all set to try again.
I told my mom I got a P.O. Box and she said, "Oh Camille, are you doing that pen pal thing again? I thought you stopped that when you were 13?"
I didn't have a reply for that but I did thank her for making me feel like a uber nerd. So is having a pen pal when you are 31 a sign of being a loser or something? Are pen pals only for kids? I mean, I know it's a pretty geeky/corny thing to do but I mean everyone loves getting letters, right? And meeting new people? Learning about different cultures/lifestyles? Or maybe it's just me?
Anyway, I'm using InterPals Penpals to try engage some people to write to me. Or if you are interested in a good old fashion pen pal friendship let me know!
