Morticia and Wednesday Addams
Isn't Wednesday such a lovely name? If I had an imaginary friend, her name would be Wednesday.

"You think you're in love, but you just want to be loved."
Anyone know which film this is from?
UPDATE: Thanks to Peggy I know the film is À nos amours (1983).

He Hit Me (It Felt Like A Kiss) is a pop song written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King and recorded by The Crystals under the guidance of Phil Spector in 1962. Goffin and King wrote the song after discovering that singer Little Eva was being regularly beaten by her boyfriend. When they inquired why she tolerated such treatment, Eva replied, with complete sincerity, that her boyfriend's actions were motivated by his love for her.

One day I pulled my kindle USB/power cord from its resting place on the shelf. I noticed a couple cracks but didn't think much about it. So after I used it I left the cord laying on the floor near my couch.
A week later, the USB cord was left untouched but I picked it up to find it started to fall apart in my hand. It was all cracked and I immediately freaked out because it looked like a dog chewed on it and that really scared me because I don't have a dog.
Fast forward three more weeks and my USB cord looks like the picture above.
Naturally, I googled around and saw this was not a unique situation to me. Apparently the Kindle 2nd Generation (I don't know about other versions) USB cord is faulty and will disintegrate over time. Ugh, talk about no quality assurance from amazon.
Anyway, I'm not even going to bother complaining to amazon. I'm just going to buy another cord - Oriongadgets Sync & Charge USB Cable for Amazon Kindle 2 for $0.01 from, surprise, surprise - amazon. Hey, you can't beat that price and the customer feedback is pretty good.
So, this is just a heads up to fellow kindle 2 users... this might happen to you... don't blame the dog, the cord just sucks.

Amy Winehouse died at 27 years of age. She was a tremendous talent but lead a tragic life, filled with addiction. Her musical style was jazzy and bluesy with a unique singing voice and I loved it.
The internet keeps saying, "Amy joined Club 27" a group of musicians who died at the age of 27, which is sad. I'm not sure if 27 is a magical number for talented people or something, but it is interesting, so many died at this age.
Another interesting thing about Amy is her honesty. She talked about her problems in her music and interviews. Here are a couple which are very revealing: her style, not a hypocrite, "I am my own worst enemy", "My greatest fear is probably dying with no one knowing of any contribution id ever made to creative music".
This video is pretty prophetic. When the host said, "Do you want us to just sit her while you drink yourself to death?" I thought, yup, that's what happened. But of course when battling addiction, it's the addict that really has to help themselves.
But no matter what, no one can dispute her talent.

So it's been a while since I've update my blog. I feel kind of guilty about that... but surprisingly, my boring little life got a little busy and I've been away from the couch.
I guess along with the being busy bit, I haven't been real motivated to blog lately. I've been distracted by Google +... I started posting over there and I guess since I can write more than 140 characters (looking at you twitter) it's been filling the "blogging" void. I've also made a couple blog posts at work too.
But no worries, I'll be back soon. My life is going back to my regular routine - work, couch, sleep - repeat.
And believe it or not, but I've only seen Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 once! That's right, only 1 time! That should tell you how busy I am... I should have seen it at least 3 times by now.
I'll get back on track soon.
Oh yeah, are you on Google +? If you are add me to your circles! http://gplus.to/camillereads
PS. Anyone want to help me take out my braids (photo above)? If I do it myself, it will take all weekend. Ugh.

So I'm off to see the final Harry Potter film. Sigh...
Well here's some random Harry Potter stuff... oh yeah, you can check out all my Harry Potter posts.
The cast was asked, "Your favorite line your character ever said":
This person gave a good run down via gifs of how the premiere experience will be like for them.
The Fine Bros do 7 Harry Potter films in 7 Minutes (spoilers if you've been living under a rock):
Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), took part in the Dear Mr. Potter website. A lovely letter where she describes first reading about Luna while in a recovery programme for anorexia.
A brief history of Harry Potter's strangest controversies from The Atlantic.
The New York City Philosopher's Stone and Deathly Hallows Part 2 Premiere... oh what a difference 10 years makes. [via]
It's Kingsley Bitch! is having an "episode" (seriously, he's going through it) because Harry Potter is ending. Man, Harry Potter fans never fail to entertain. (NSFW - because language)
Hopefully I'll write a movie review, or just jot down random thoughts about the film in the next post...

I'm going to overlook that "you're" in the graphic because I like the quote.
