Socially Awkward Partygoers

I'll be the girl smoking near the window, tweeting about how I'm at a party and feel totally awkward.

I went food shopping...

for the first time, in which easily feels like four months. A couple things to note: I like noodles, especially ones you can make in less than 5 minutes, I also like juice and I buy lots of plastic cups (sorry environment) because I hate doing the dishes. One day I will grow up... one day...

pet peeves

You see how the gas tank cover is open in the photo above? Well whenever I see this when I'm driving I have to mentally say over and over in my head "don't get out of the car and close it... don't get out of the car and close it... DON'T GET OUT OF THE CAR AND..."

It drives me crazy when I see this... I really have to stop myself from closing it... seriously.

I met Henry Louis Gates, Jr.

I went to a lecture given by Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr. at the Free Library. He was funny and engaging. His book is a great reference tool for African American history. I told him it was my birthday and he agreed to take a photo with me :-)

I went to a Radiohead concert

First thing - Thom Yorke's voice is amazing. I can come to their concert every night and be filled with the same joy... I enjoyed it that much.

I want to have babies with his voice...

Afro American Pledge of Allegiance

I went to my 5 year old nephew's pre-school graduation. In the graduation booklet I saw this (above). Is this a real thing? I've missed the last couple of black people meetings, so I might be out of the loop. I assume since it's the "Afro American" pledge that shows this is a bit dated. I wonder if this daycare has updated their files since the 70s?

a creature of habit

I eat lunch, nearly every day at Subway. I always get the same meal. When I walk in the guy smiles and says, "the same," I nod and my sandwich is made. My mom tells me I eat too much "processed meat." I don't know what that means. Anyway, I currently have over 1,200 Subway Reward points (old photo). I keep telling myself one day I'll start cashing in those points, but now I just want to keep on going to see how many I can get. You see, I have goals...

total poser

I totally bought this shirt because of Sheldon. I don't even like the Green Latern... but I do like this shirt.

By the way, taking shots from above and crossing your legs and removing head... always flattering. My tip for the da ladies :-)

Philly Comic Con 2012

I'm very late posting this... but after writing my previous post and looking through my photos I realized I never blogged about it. I guess the biggest thing about comic con this year is that all five Star Trek captains appeared on stage for the first time, ever! Yes ever! The panel was too short in my opinion and of course dominated by Shatner, but still, it was great to see them all together.

The other big thing about this year's comic con is I got a photo with Patrick Stewart. I was really exited and tweeted a lot about the day, but you know what happened? The stupid photo was horrible... I mean baaaad. So bad, I didn't want to show anyone, but after a little while, I realize I need to at least have proof that the photo exists with the two of us, so I filtered the hell out of it and here it goes:

Trust me. I'm not playing around the original photo is bad.Troy was right, I'm not doing the photo-op thing again.

Anyway, check out ALL my comic con photos  and if you're interested here are my photos from 2010.

it's been a while...

So this "blogging thing" ebbs and flows with me... and I guess I was in an ebb. I just didn't have the energy (lazy) to write up posts... even though I had things I wanted to share. Anyway, since I feel guilty neglecting my blog I figured I could at least start posting something.

So the plan is, I will post random photos from my phone. I'm sure you're like me, you have loads of random photos stored on your mobile phone... and I will just post them. I will attempt to write a short note about why I took the photo, but sometimes I won't. But the good thing is, I have LOADS of photos. What is it about mobile phones with cameras that makes you want to record stuff like this:

Yeah, I know I probably suck. But like I said, we're in an ebb...

To those who actually care I haven't been blogging, thank you... to those who have no idea what I'm rambling about, thank you too...

So here we go!

I have no idea why I took this photo, but here it is:
